# Logging and Reports

Domotz keep track of major events performed by your team in the network and allows the creation of reports for you and your customers.

The feature is accessible from the Agent Dashboard, by selecting the following tile:

Accessing Logging & Reports Section

1. Locate and select the "Logging & Reports" option. It is represented by an icon resembling a document and pen.
2. Click to access features to generate reports and log various activities.

## Logging

The Logging tab will show you the last users events on the platform which include:

- Remote connections created to devices on the platform. For example you will be able to track or see attempted connections from the Domotz web app to ssh, RDP, http, and/or custom services to your monitored devices.
- Enable/Disable of Agent alerts.
- Power actions on devices (through PDU, PoE or Software Reboot and other supported devices reboots).
- Manually inserted Notes (Notes are added by clicking on the Add a Note button).

Logging and Reporting Interface with Activity Logs

1. The interface displays a "Logging & Reports" section with tabs for "Logging" and "Reports." The "Logging" tab is currently selected.
2. Below, a text entry area labeled "Add a Note" allows users to input additional information.
3. Activity logs are organized by date, with entries for Thursday, 20 June 2019, showing a record for a "Main Printer - 9340CDW" accessing a web portal via HTTP port 80.
4. Wednesday, 19 June 2019, lists three entries:
   - "Main Printer - 9340CDW" with console access via TELNET port 23.
   - "Main Printer - 9340CDW" with web portal HTTP access via port 80.
   - "ABR-4500 - Router" with an open tunnel via TCP port 20.
5. Each log entry includes a timestamp indicating when the activity occurred.

## Reports

You can also generate pdf reports that are sent via email to yourself, to your customer or a specified list of recipients.

There are two types of reports:

**Manual:** Send via email a report related to the last 30 days of activity. Manual reports can be generated at any time and there are no limits on how many reports you generate.

**Automatic:** Send a report, via email, every 1st day of the month.

Generating a Network Report and Sending It

1. Access the "Logging & Reports" section and select the "Reports" tab.
2. Choose the "Manual" option.
3. Click on "Last 30 Days Network Report" to generate the report.
4. Use the "Send now" button to send the report.
5. Add recipients by clicking "Add an additional recipient."
6. Check the boxes to select "Send to me" and "Send to customer" to choose report recipients.

Reports can be customized, by selecting and sorting a number of predefined modules.

Report Contents Selection Interface

1. Select "Agent Info and Status" to include in the report.
2. "Agent Connection History Chart" is not selected.
3. Select "WAN Performance" to include in the report.
4. "Internet Speed Test Chart" is not selected.
5. "Internet Latency Test Chart" is not selected.
6. "Important Devices Info" is not selected. You can sort by IP Address and filter by "No Filters".
7. Select "Not Important Devices Info" to include in the report. Sorting and filtering options are available.
8. "Activity Log" is not selected.

Check the boxes next to each item you want to include in the report. Use sort and filter options where available to organize the data.

## Exports

You also have the option to export a list of all devices recognised on your network. This list is sent in an excel format.
