✨ New Features & Improvements

πŸ”” Unified Alerting β€” Beta

The following enhancements are part of the Unified Alerting Beta. Reach out to support@domotz.com to request access or learn more.

Alert Rules Inventory

  • Enable, disable, create, edit, and clone alert rules β€” Manage alert rules end-to-end from the Alert Rules Inventory page. You can now enable/disable individual rules, create new ones, edit existing ones, and clone a rule to quickly set up multiple similar rules β€” all without leaving the inventory.
  • Profile-driven Alerts V3 β€” Unified Alerts can now be managed from the Profile Management system, so alert rules propagate across collectors via profiles.
  • Default Monitoring Profiles β€” New users automatically get default Monitoring Profiles, so unified alerting is preconfigured out of the box.

Alert History

  • New Alert History view β€” Read, resync, and browse past alert events with full incident details. Includes custom filters, time-based counters, and severity-based incident overviews for faster triage.
  • Edit severity and status directly β€” From the Alert History details panel, edit an incident’s severity and status without leaving the page.
  • Bulk actions β€” Select multiple incidents and change severity or status in a single action.
  • Filter by date β€” Narrow the Alert History view down to specific time windows.
  • Live side menu counters β€” The Alert History side menu now shows live counters of open incidents per category for quick at-a-glance overviews.
  • Account-scoped view β€” Alert History now shows only your own incidents β€” alerts from collaborated accounts no longer appear, keeping the view focused.
  • Better handling of deleted entities β€” Incidents whose Alert rule, Collector, or Device has since been deleted now display gracefully, preserving historical context.
  • Metrics & Details and Infrastructure columns β€” Richer per-incident context in the Alert History details panel.
  • Consistent severity ordering β€” Alert severity lists now display in a consistent order across all views for improved readability.

Notifications & Reporting

  • Notifications with unique identifiers β€” Notifications now carry a unique ID, enabling reliable correlation between notifications and the incidents that produced them.
  • Reports include Unified Alerts data β€” Reports now display alerted devices from the new Unified Alerts system.

Other Beta Enhancements

  • Enriched alert inventory filtering β€” Filter the alert inventory by enriched device and collector fields for more precise targeting.
  • Disabled state on Alert V3 cards β€” The Alert V3 Card now reflects when an individual alert rule is disabled.
  • Side Panel UI for Device alert configuration β€” Device unified alert configuration moved from a dropdown to a Side Panel UI for a smoother editing experience.
  • Hide legacy Personal & Shared Alerts β€” A new user-level setting lets you hide the legacy Personal and Shared Alerts sections, supporting a clean cutover for new customers.

πŸ“£ Notifications

  • Custom tags in notifications β€” Custom Device and Collector tags now appear inside notifications, giving richer context at the point of alert.

πŸ”‘ Public API

  • Increased API key limit per account β€” Generate more API keys per account to support broader integration use cases.
  • Device Tags in API β€” Public API Device endpoints now return Tags information, enabling richer third-party integrations.
  • Collector Custom Tags β€” Public API now supports binding and unbinding Custom Tags on Collectors, giving you programmatic control over collector organization.

πŸ—ΊοΈ Discovery & Topology

  • Auto discovery on the Discovery Page β€” Automatic network scanning is now built into the Discovery Page for faster initial setup.
  • Firewall Recheck button β€” Re-verify firewall status directly from the discovery workflow without leaving the page.
  • Smoother Discovery banner expansion β€” Improved banner expansion handling on the Discovery Page for a smoother setup experience.
  • Improved device MAC address discovery via SNMP β€” More accurate LLDP network topology mapping when devices have multiple MAC addresses.
  • LLDP-aware topology resolution β€” The Network Topology algorithm now uses LLDP information together with other sources to resolve device connections more accurately.
  • More accurate SNMP data β€” IP-based consistency validation prevents data mixup between devices.
  • Inline credential setup on Device List β€” Set SNMP and Configuration Management credentials for locked devices directly from the Collector Devices list via a right-side panel, grouped by vendor for bulk-apply β€” no separate modal needed.
  • Collector Discovery β†’ Device List navigation β€” The Collector Discovery page now offers direct navigation to the Device list for a smoother onboarding flow.

πŸ“Š Monitoring & Reports

  • Faster Monitoring Dashboard updates β€” Optimized update strategy for dashboards with more than 100 entities.
  • UPS input voltage monitoring β€” Added Input Voltage monitoring to the UPS Basic Info SNMP Template, enabling voltage tracking for UPS devices.
  • Collector Uptime Connectivity page β€” Redesigned the Collector Connectivity view for clearer visualization of uptime history and incidents, including new quick-filter cards.
  • Restyled Monthly Report β€” Visual refresh with three new sections:
    • Important Devices Currently Offline β€” table of currently-offline important devices with name, IP, vendor, and last-seen timestamp.
    • Important Devices Uptime Graph β€” timeline graph of uptime/downtime intervals for up to 20 important devices over the reporting period.
    • Device Classification Graph β€” horizontal bar chart breaking devices down by type.
  • Inventory action button restyle β€” Restyled the “add” buttons on the Organization and Collectors Inventory dashboards for visual consistency with other sections.
  • VLAN wizard improvements β€” VLAN configuration wizard now prevents address conflicts with IP range / IP List.

🎫 Integrations

  • Ruckus ICX configuration backup β€” Configuration backup for Ruckus ICX switches is now available via SSH and TFTP from a single unified script.
  • New MIB support β€” Expanded SNMP monitoring coverage for:
    • Grandstream GXW42xx series
    • Ubiquiti Solarpoint
    • Aruba
    • Sophos

πŸ›Ÿ Help & Support

  • Live chat now in the Help Center β€” Zendesk live chat is now built into the in-app Help Center, joining onboarding tips, help docs, and feedback in a single place. Launch it from any page using the help icon to get support, learn the product, and share feedback without leaving Domotz.

πŸ“‘ Domotz Collector

  • Domotz Network Collector 8.3.3 β€” Released for Domotz Box, Windows, Linux, and Docker. Includes several bug fixes around ONVIF cameras, the Windows installer, SMB/telnet discovery, external host discovery, and script execution.

πŸ” Coming Soon

The following are in development and not yet available.

  • Mobile signup β€” Sign up for Domotz directly from the mobile app.
  • Alert V3 Card on Mobile β€” The Alert V3 Card now renders correctly on mobile devices, enabling on-the-go alert review.
  • iOS mobile app polish β€” Multiple fixes to the early iOS build of the Domotz mobile app, including Collector settings, the Connectivity tab (Speed Test and Route Analysis images), iPad top-bar overlap, the iOS back gesture, and Device List rendering.
