New Features & Improvements

MCP

  • Rename Collectors via MCP — A new update_collector_metadata operation lets AI clients rename Collectors and update related metadata programmatically through the Domotz MCP server.

Public API

  • Manage Organizations via the Public API — The Public API now supports creating, reading, updating, and deleting Organizations programmatically.

Role-Based Access Control

  • 2FA is now the default for new Users — Two-Factor Authentication is now pre-selected as the authentication method when creating a new User.

Integrations

  • Unifi/Ubiquiti Cloud API Key support — The Unifi/Ubiquiti integration now supports authentication using Unifi’s Cloud API Keys, giving you a more stable and portable way to connect cloud-hosted controllers.

Other Improvements

  • Faster web app loading — Compression is now enabled for the web app’s JavaScript assets, significantly reducing the initial download size and load time.
  • Consistent Device Type editor — When editing Device Type in the bulk-actions panel, you now get the same Device Type editor already used on the Device Details view.
  • More flexible time-range control in Variable History — Variable History now uses the newer range-selector component, giving you finer control over the time range you’re viewing.
  • Connectivity chart defaults to 1 month — The Connectivity chart now opens on a 1-month range by default, instead of 3 months.

Coming Soon

The following are in development and not yet available.

  • MTR (My Traceroute) diagnostics for Custom Drivers — MTR is being exposed to Custom Drivers, letting integrators run combined traceroute/ping path diagnostics from their own driver logic. Pending an upcoming Collector release.

Technical & Infrastructure

  • Security hardening from third-party penetration test — Addressed a set of findings from our latest third-party penetration test, further hardening access control and input validation across the platform.
  • Device protocol glossary for MCP integrators — Documented the device protocol enum (IP/CLUSTER) and added an enum-glossary MCP resource so AI tools can resolve protocol values reliably.
  • Tighter MCP OAuth client registration — Keycloak Dynamic Client Registration (DCR) has been replaced with a static “MCP Client” that uses a redirect-URI allowlist, tightening the MCP OAuth onboarding surface.

New Features & Improvements

MCP

  • New AI Agents page — Connect ChatGPT, Claude, and other AI clients to Domotz MCP, all in one place.
  • Personal MCP API keys with RBAC control — Generate a personal API key to authenticate to the Domotz MCP server, and use the new “MCP Access” RBAC permission to control which roles can connect.

Unified Alerts — Beta

The following enhancements are part of the Unified Alerts Beta. Reach out to support@domotz.com to request access or learn more.
