New Features & Improvements

Role-Based Access Control

  • RBAC Dynamic Collector Groups — Grant Collector access using custom filters in roles. Permissions update automatically as Collectors match (or stop matching) the filter, so access stays in sync with your fleet without manual one-by-one assignment.
  • Edit groups and roles inline — Click any user group or role in an RBAC table to jump straight to editing it, no need to navigate away.

MCP Tools

  • Undo any create or attach action via MCP — Every create/attach action through the Domotz MCP server can now be reversed programmatically. Detach drivers and sensors, delete alert rules and tags, and unbind alert rules from Collectors and devices.
  • Streamlined driver MCP tools — Driver-related MCP tools have been consolidated into a cleaner set of operations, so AI agents can use them more reliably.

Unified Alerts — Beta

The following enhancements are part of the Unified Alerts Beta. Reach out to support@domotz.com to request access or learn more.

  • Manage columns on Alert History — Show or hide columns in the Alert History table so you can focus on the information you care about most.

Monitoring

  • New MIB support — Expanded SNMP monitoring coverage for Server Technology PDUs.

Other Improvements

  • Stay signed in automatically on mobile — The mobile app now keeps you signed in by default. The “Remember Me” toggle is gone, so you won’t get unexpectedly logged out between sessions.
  • Tags preserved on Collector migration — Custom tags now carry over automatically when you migrate a Collector, no need to recreate them.
  • Consistent date-range picker on Ping RTD history — Ping round-trip-delay history now uses the same date-range selector as the rest of the app.

Bug Fixes

Integrations

  • Fixed: Unifi/Ubiquiti hosted (cloud) controller URLs now integrate correctly after a change in Unifi’s console URL format.
  • Fixed: The HaloPSA integration now loads all clients, not just the first 1,000 — so no customers are missing from the Customers list.

Topology

  • Fixed: Ubiquiti switches now complete SNMP port mapping even when Bridge-MIB is responding.
  • Fixed: Aruba Instant On 1930 Series switches now use the more complete SNMP FDB table for port mapping instead of LLDP.
  • Fixed: Cisco 2900 Series switches now map ports across all monitored VLANs, not just the native VLAN.

Device Management

  • Fixed: Monitoring profiles with dynamic Make/Model filters no longer skip clustered devices such as Synology clusters.
  • Fixed: OS Monitoring now correctly unlocks Dell iDRAC (v5) devices.

Drivers

  • Fixed: The Custom Driver device-association modal no longer stays stuck on “loading” when no Collector is online.

Notifications

  • Fixed: Alert ID details are now included in the alert notification body for default Collector and Device status alerts across email, Telegram, and PSA channels.
  • Fixed: The Shared Alerts option is no longer missing when managing Collectors.

Unified Alerts — Beta

  • Fixed: The Alert History “Custom Filter” selection now resets correctly when switching back to “No Custom Filters.”

Login & Sessions

  • Fixed: Intermittent login failures where the session was created but the dashboard failed to finish loading.
  • Fixed: Logged-in sessions are now preserved when navigating to the webapp root or reopening the app.
  • Fixed: Login routing issues.

Mobile

  • Fixed: Device-type and option icons no longer appear blank on the iOS app after a recent iOS update.

Drivers (Scripts)

  • Introducing Drivers (formerly Scripts) — a redesigned catalog for discovery and reuse — Scripts have been renamed to Drivers, and they live in a redesigned repository built around discovery and reuse. A new Template Catalog showcases every ready-made driver, a detail drawer opens any driver in an IDE-style code preview with its key info alongside, and a single click copies a template into your own drivers.

Unified Alerts — Beta

The following enhancements are part of the Unified Alerts Beta. Reach out to support@domotz.com to request access or learn more.

  • Persistent Alert History filters — Filters applied on the Alert History page now stay applied as you navigate away and back, so you no longer have to re-set them each visit.

Other Improvements

  • Mandatory mobile app updates — The mobile app now prompts users to update to the latest version, keeping everyone on a supported release.
  • SNMP authentication type in Device Inventory — The Device Inventory now shows the SNMP authentication type for each device in a dedicated column, so you can sort and filter the table by SNMP auth type.
  • Clearer guidance when enabling RBAC with Support Teams — When you try to enable RBAC on an account that uses Support Teams, a clear message in the setup flow now explains that the two aren’t currently compatible — protecting your support visibility and access from being accidentally disrupted. New Features & Improvements

Profiles

  • Schedule Profile applications automatically — Device Profiles can now be applied automatically on a recurring schedule. A new “Schedule” option in the profile flow lets you set the cadence once and Domotz keeps your device settings in sync going forward — no more manual reapplication, and a meaningful step toward set-and-forget policy management at scale.

Unified Alerts — Beta

The following enhancements are part of the Unified Alerts Beta. Reach out to support@domotz.com to request access or learn more.

  • Unified Alert Rules on Mobile — The Unified Alert Rules experience is now fully available in the mobile app, so you can manage alert rules on the go.
  • Bulk-apply Unified Alert Rules from the Collector inventory — Apply Unified Alert Rules to multiple Collectors in a single operation directly from the Inventory → Collector tab.
  • Mobile Alert History — Alert History filters are now collapsible on mobile, giving you a cleaner, touch-friendly layout.
  • Improved Alert History date picker — Relative date ranges in the Alert History date picker have been refined and corrected for accurate filtering.
  • Cleaner Alert History layout — Long Location and Zone values no longer overflow their cell in the Alert History table, keeping rows easy to read.
  • Unified Alert Rules public API — New public API endpoints for Unified Alert Rules lay the groundwork for programmatic alert management.

Collectors & MCP

  • Consistent Collector naming in MCP tools — MCP tools that previously used “agent” have been renamed to “Collector” for consistent terminology across the product (for example, bind_alert_rule_to_collector).

Other Improvements

  • In-app password reset — You can now reset your account password directly within the app, without being redirected to the Portal.
  • Cleaner mobile Inventory — The Export button is now hidden on the Inventory Dashboard in the mobile app, where it isn’t usable.
  • Android orientation lock — The app now stays in portrait on Android phones, avoiding broken landscape layouts.

Coming Soon

The following are in development and not yet available.

  • Unified Alert Rules general availability — Unified Alert Rules is preparing for general availability.
  • Option to migrate from Shared Alerts to Unified Alert Rules — Accounts using the legacy Shared Alerts will have an option to migrate to Unified Alert Rules.
  • Alert History charts — Visualize alert activity as charts directly on the Alert History page, giving you a faster, more immediate read on your alerting situation.
  • Custom Script Smart Linking — Custom Scripts will soon generate smart links for quicker navigation and reference across the product.

Technical & Infrastructure

  • Keycloak Dynamic Client Registration — MCP OAuth clients can now self-register via Keycloak DCR, streamlining integration onboarding.

Bug Fixes

Topology

  • Fixed: The topology view no longer breaks when the snapshot is enabled and all mapped devices have been deleted — the view stays accessible so you can unfreeze it.
  • Fixed: Stale-link marking now keeps the missed-detection counter scoped to its own link, preventing runaway counters that could stall link and topology processing.
  • Fixed: Auto-configured overlays are now correctly linked to devices after MIB discovery.

Device Management

  • Fixed: The tag device counter no longer keeps counting hidden or deleted devices.

Monitoring

  • Fixed: Resolved intermittent dashboard loading and UI instability where devices failed to load, scrolling froze, or alert controls became unresponsive.
  • Fixed: Collector variable history no longer returns an empty list or null timestamps through the public API after the recent TimescaleDB migration.

Alerts

  • Fixed: Creating an alert rule with “No Severity” selected no longer returns a 500 error.

Custom Scripts

  • Fixed: The custom driver test-results modal no longer crashes when a script returns table data via tables (without metrics_table). Table output now renders correctly.

Account

  • Fixed: The “Invalid Password” error that could appear when changing your account password.

New Features & Improvements

Domotz MCP

  • Check your device quota through AI assistants — A new MCP tool lets Managed Device mode users see their current quota and allowance from an AI assistant, so you can tell at a glance whether you’re about to hit your device limit.
  • Richer historical context for MCP metrics — Device metrics requested via MCP now include downscaled time series and trend analysis, so AI assistants can give better answers about how a device has been behaving over time.

Inventory

  • Tag multiple Collectors at once — Apply tags to multiple Collectors in a single bulk action from the Inventory view, speeding up organization at scale.
  • Smoother Inventory exports — Exporting Inventory data is now more polished and easier to feed into your downstream tools.

Monitoring

  • New MIB support — Expanded SNMP monitoring coverage for Check Point Firewall.

Billing

  • Stripe Customer Portal for SQL users — If you’re on a SQL plan, you’ll now see a direct link to the Stripe Customer Portal in the WebApp so you can manage your billing details yourself.
