New Features & Improvements

RBAC & Organizations

  • Roles are now Access Sets — Roles have been redesigned as Access Sets, which come in two types: Account Access Sets apply to the account itself, and Resource Access Sets apply to its resources. Built-in Access Sets are split into “(Account)” and “(Resource)” versions. New User and Group panels show the Access Sets each one holds, a dedicated view summarizes their permissions, and you can apply or delete several Access Sets at once.
  • Assign Access Sets directly to users — Access Sets can now be assigned straight to users, not only through groups.

MCP

  • Uptime and streamlined tools — MCP clients and the AI Agent can now also read device and Collector uptime, so you can ask about an outage or slow device at a specific time. The overlapping get_uptime, device_performance, and get_device_alerts tools are removed, since their data is now in the metric tools and device inventory, helping AI clients pick the right tool more often.

AI Agent

  • Faster tool selection — The AI Agent now loads only the tools a question needs, so its answers are faster and it picks the right tool more often.

Drivers

  • Redesigned Drivers tab — The device Drivers tab has a cleaner layout that shows each driver’s status at a glance. Adding a driver opens a side panel where you can browse catalog templates by type or tag, see which ones you already have, and set one up in a guided dialog.

Coming Soon

The following are in development and not yet available.

  • Maintenance windows — You’ll be able to schedule maintenance windows that hold back alerts for the Collectors and devices they cover during planned work, and manage them all in one place.
  • Documentation assets via MCP — MCP clients will be able to list the organizations and assets of a connected documentation system and create a missing asset, so a Collector can be linked to its documentation without looking up IDs by hand.

Bug Fixes

Integrations

  • Fixed: The Domotz MCP server’s Collector overview now returns the Collector’s time zone and address, and updating a Collector’s details returns the updated Collector, so you can check the change in the same step.
  • Fixed: The Public API’s Collector RTD statistics (GET /agent/{agent_id}/device/rtd) now return the timestamp of the latest sample instead of null.
  • Fixed: When Freshdesk refuses a new note because a ticket has reached its maximum number of notes, the Freshdesk integration no longer shows an Authentication Error or sends a credentials-error email.

Device Management

  • Fixed: Following a link from one Collector to another, such as from the AI Agent chat, now updates the Collector header, tabs, and banners instead of continuing to show the previous Collector.
  • Fixed: Tags without a valid color now appear with the default dark gray background.
  • Fixed: The PDU plug icon in the device list no longer appears on devices with no linked PDU outlet.

Monitoring

  • Fixed: The driver execution log now shows the latest failed runs of a driver that has been failing for more than 7 days instead of an empty list, and says so when there are no runs in the last two months.

New Features & Improvements

AI Agent

  • Suggested prompts in the chat — An empty AI Agent chat now offers one-click starter prompts on every page, so you can see what it can do without typing.
  • Incident metrics for the AI Agent and MCP — The AI Agent and MCP clients can now read device latency and packet loss history and Collector speed tests and MTR history, so you can ask about an outage at a specific time.
  • Long conversations stay usable — Long conversations now condense older messages into a summary, marked by a “Conversation compacted” divider, so the chat keeps working.

Drivers

  • DrayTek firewall configuration backup — Configuration Management can now back up the running configuration of DrayTek firewalls over SSH, saved as plain text with no TFTP transfer needed.
  • Versa Director SD-WAN monitoring — Four new drivers bring your Versa SD-WAN fabric into Domotz through the Versa Director API, covering appliance health, active alarms, access circuits, and SLA paths that are down.

Integrations

  • Freshservice ticket location and automatic resolution — Freshservice tickets can now fill the Location field, chosen per Collector, and resolve automatically when the device recovers. If the ticket form requires fields Domotz can’t fill, the connection now names them.
  • Automatic ticket closing for Zendesk — Zendesk tickets can now close automatically when the device recovers.
  • Zendesk connection with OAuth [Limited] — Connect Zendesk by signing in with OAuth instead of an API token. Existing API token connections keep working.

Other Improvements

  • Clearer alert push notifications — Mobile alert notifications now show where the problem is, what happened, and whether it’s new or resolved, so you can triage from the lock screen.
  • Branding settings in the web app — Configure branding directly in the web app, without switching to the Portal.
  • Better VoIP phone identification — Yealink, Zultys, and Obihai phones are now recognized by model from their device name.
  • Faster web app startup — The web app now loads the Collector list once at startup and no longer waits on company logo customization at login.

Coming Soon

The following are in development and not yet available.

  • Maintenance windows — You’ll be able to schedule maintenance windows that hold back alerts for the Collectors and devices they cover during planned work, and manage them all in one place.
  • Collaboration for RBAC — You’ll be able to invite someone from a different Domotz account to collaborate on your own — even if they already have their own Domotz account — and grant them exactly the permissions and Collectors you choose.

Bug Fixes

Integrations

  • Fixed: The Domotz MCP server now lets you set SSH, HTTP/HTTPS, Telnet, WinRM, ONVIF, and custom driver credentials in MCP clients that display apps, not only SNMP.
  • Fixed: The Domotz MCP server now reports device status as the Domotz app does: ONLINE, or OFFLINE once the device is down past the grace period.
  • Fixed: When Domotz automatically closes a ConnectWise ticket, tickets bundled under it are now detached and stay open instead of closing with it.

Device Management

  • Fixed: “Save configuration” in Configuration Management now shows a saving label instead of “Restoring Configuration”.
  • Fixed: Editing a device from the Inventory side panel during a bulk selection no longer clears the tags shown in the bulk actions.
  • Fixed: Navigating the app no longer occasionally redirects to the device list of an unrelated Collector.
  • Fixed: Filtering the Collectors page by a tag with no matches now shows the “No results” placeholder.
  • Fixed: The side menu no longer shows an unnecessary vertical scroll bar.
  • Fixed: Configuration backups of slow Cisco SG and Cisco Business (CBS) switches no longer time out. The backup now allows up to 3 minutes.
  • Fixed: Ruckus Unleashed access points on firmware 200.18 are now recognized when you unlock Device Management with HTTP credentials, so their Access Point tab appears.

Monitoring

  • Fixed: The ESXi drivers in the Global Catalogue now work when the ESXi password contains special characters.
  • Fixed: The iDRAC PSU monitoring driver now connects on the standard SSH port 22, like the other iDRAC drivers.
  • Fixed: Collector uptime is no longer over-reported for Collectors created during the selected period.
  • Fixed: On switches that report every port on one interface, such as the Luxul SW-*15 series, the Interfaces tab now shows each port’s mapping instead of entries all labeled Port 1.
  • Fixed: [Limited] In a variable’s history chart, metric analysis now covers the selected time range, and the time axis no longer stretches to a month.

Notifications

  • Fixed: [Beta] In Alert History, collapsing and re-expanding an incident’s detail panel now works in place instead of returning you to the alert history list.
  • Fixed: On accounts not using Unified Alerts, push notifications can now be selected as a Contact Channel for sensor and driver alert rules.

New Features & Improvements

AI Agent

  • AI Agent preview for all users — The AI Agent is now available in the app as a preview for everyone. Ask questions about your network right in the chat, and your questions will help shape what it can do next.

Unified Alerts — Beta

The following enhancements are part of the Unified Alerts Beta. Reach out to support@domotz.com to request access or learn more.

  • Discovered device in Device Discovery incidents — Device Discovery incidents now show the device that was discovered, so you can see what joined your network without leaving the incident.

Collector Installation

  • Larger installer button — The Domotz Collector Installer button in the Collector installation window’s Windows tab now has larger, easier-to-read text.

Coming Soon

The following are in development and not yet available.

  • Attach a suggested driver in one step — Attach a suggested driver template to a device in a single step. Domotz will reuse your existing driver for that template if it’s unchanged, create one if it isn’t, and check it against the device before saving anything.
  • Maintenance windows hold back alerts — Scheduled maintenance windows will hold back alerts for the Collectors and devices they cover, including devices behind a Collector under maintenance and Collectors shared with you from another account. Windows will start right on schedule, and you’ll choose whether held-back alerts are sent when a window closes.
  • Personal alerts on shared Collectors — If you have access to Collectors shared from another account, you’ll be able to turn your personal alerts off again, and personal alerts will stop once the sharing ends.

Bug Fixes

Notifications

  • Fixed: The weekly report email is delivered again to everyone who should receive it. It had been skipped for some users when their devices’ response-time history couldn’t be loaded.
  • Fixed: iOS push notifications for device alerts show the site name again. The title says what happened and the first line names the device and its site, so both appear in the notification preview.

Device Management

  • Fixed: Cluster markers on the Collectors map now display counts above 999 correctly.
  • Fixed: The Organization filter and Organization grouping on the Collectors page are available again to users who couldn’t see them.
  • Fixed: Audit logs now show the Team Member who performed an action, such as deleting a device, creating a communication channel, adding an activity note, or creating an API key, instead of the Account Owner.
  • Fixed: Middle Atlantic PDUs and UPSs whose firmware no longer allows HTTP connections can be managed again, including outlet status updates and outlet actions.
  • Fixed: Netgear M4350 switches now unlock device management with HTTP credentials. PoE status and controls, per-port PoE consumption, and port mapping appear on the Interfaces tab, as they do on M4250 and M4300 models.
  • Fixed: Wake-on-LAN now works for devices on non-primary VLANs. The wake-up packet is sent to the broadcast address of every network the Collector is attached to, not just the primary VLAN.

Integrations

  • Fixed: Forms in the Domotz MCP App can be saved again. Pressing Save had been failing with a generic error for every user, including those connecting with an API key.

Topology

  • Fixed: Port mapping no longer shows one switch connected to many ports across other switches, including ports with nothing attached, when it relies on Spanning Tree data.

New Features & Improvements

Integrations

  • Autotask PSA Assets Management — The Autotask PSA documentation and asset management integration is now available. It pushes the devices your Collectors discover into Autotask, just as the IT Glue and Syncro integrations already do.

Collectors Page

  • Redesigned Collectors page header — The Collectors page header has been redesigned to make it easier to filter, group, sort, and search your Collectors, so you can customize your view, especially when managing a long list.
  • Filter and sort Collectors by tag — On the Collectors page, you can now filter and sort Collectors by tag, so the list follows the same organization you’ve already set up with tags.
  • Collector cluster status on the map — Each Collector cluster on the Collectors map now shows how many of its Collectors are online, offline, or have issues, so you can check a cluster’s health at a glance without expanding it.

Marketplace API

  • Per-Collector accounts on Marketplace API v2 — Marketplaces can now create location-based (per-Collector) accounts through Marketplace API v2, in addition to device-based accounts. Marketplace API v1 no longer appears in the documentation but continues to work for existing integrations.

Other Improvements

  • New Collector installation video — The Collector installation window now plays a new 90-second video, “How the Domotz Collector works.”
  • Redesigned Account Settings navigation — The Account Settings page has a fresh new look.
  • Faster web app — The web app now loads faster.

Coming Soon

The following are in development and not yet available.

  • Model and firmware from the Entity MIB — The Device Identity (Entity MIB) SNMP template will also read a device’s model name and software revision, and use them to fill in the device’s model and firmware version when Domotz has no better value.
  • Maintenance windows page — A new account-level page will list all your scheduled maintenance windows in one place.
  • Automatic restart for stalled Windows Collectors — A Windows Collector that stops responding will be restarted automatically, as Linux Collectors already are, so it no longer stays offline until someone restarts it manually.
  • Collaboration for RBAC — You’ll be able to invite someone from a different Domotz account to collaborate on your own — even if they already have their own Domotz account — and grant them exactly the permissions and Collectors you choose.

Bug Fixes

Device Management

  • Fixed: End-of-life status in the AI Agent and the MCP device inventory tools is now calculated from today’s date, so an OS or firmware release that has already passed its end-of-life date is no longer reported as approaching it.
  • Fixed: The UPnP Port Forwarding Scanner in a Collector’s Security tab no longer crashes on load when the router reports port forwarding entries with an empty description.
  • Fixed: Ungrouping a device’s network interface cards no longer fails with an error.
  • Fixed: The Collectors page now loads when the account includes Collectors that haven’t been indexed for search yet, such as right after Collectors are shared with the account, or on accounts with more than 6,000 Collectors.
  • Fixed: The Collectors page no longer goes blank after being open for about 20 minutes.
  • Fixed: Powering off a PDU-connected device from Device Details no longer times out, and the device now correctly shows as powered off.
  • Fixed: A Collector on the Collectors map whose only issues are security issues is now shown as having issues instead of green.
  • Fixed: A device’s Config tab no longer shows a backup that was deleted at the end of the data retention period as the latest configuration backup, so viewing or comparing it no longer fails with a generic error.
  • Fixed: Configuration backups of Cisco IOS-XE devices over SCP no longer fail when the device closes the connection right after the transfer completes, so retrying a failed Automatic Backup now works.
  • Fixed: Configuration management on FortiGate now recognizes read-only admin accounts. When restoring a configuration, it clearly reports that a read-write admin profile is required instead of failing to read the device’s response.

Drivers

  • Fixed: My Drivers now counts a device as Failing only when its driver is currently failing on it, and the driver’s device list shows the same status. Previously, devices were counted from past failure logs, so drivers that were running correctly appeared as Failing, with an incorrect device count.

Monitoring

  • Fixed: OS Monitoring on Linux now calculates Memory Used from the memory the host reports as available, as free and htop do. Buffers and page cache no longer count as used, which prevents false Memory Used alerts.
  • Fixed: The FortiSwitch General/Documentation SNMP template no longer overflows the screen when listing trunk members.

Notifications

  • Fixed: Numeric values that use a comma as the decimal separator, such as 12,75, are now stored as numbers, so alert rules on them are evaluated. Previously, these values were skipped and no alert was raised. A value that can be read two ways, such as 2,375, is stored unchanged.
  • Fixed: [Beta] On trial accounts with Unified Alerts, Push Notification recipients can now be selected as a Contact Channel in an alert rule.

RBAC & Organizations

  • Fixed: Users whose role doesn’t include View Audit Logs can no longer open the Collectors’ History page in the portal, and the History links are now hidden for them.
  • Fixed: Users whose role includes Device Management and Alert Rule Management can now apply alert rules to individual devices, instead of being told that additional permissions are required.
  • Fixed: Users with an RBAC role can now see the support chat.
  • Fixed: The edit button no longer overlaps the email field.
  • Fixed: After a Team Member’s email address is moved to the Team Leader, logging in with that address no longer opens a “Something went wrong” page.

Integrations

  • Fixed: Creating an Autotask ticket no longer fails when the Autotask instance has deactivated the priority or status that Domotz used to send. Domotz now picks values that are active in that instance.
  • Fixed: The ConnectWise documentation integration now matches devices to ConnectWise configurations by MAC address, whether the MAC is written with colons, dashes, or no separators.
  • Fixed: PoE-capable UniFi switches, such as the Lite 8 PoE and Lite 16 PoE, are recognized as PoE switches again, so their PoE port controls are shown.
