Having trouble connecting to the Domotz VPN on Demand?
Follow the instructions here to troubleshoot the functionality.
Windows Agent
1) Launch the domotz_bash in c:/Program Files (x86)/domotz/lib/portable-git/bin
File Directory Navigation in Windows Explorer
1. Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the path: This PC > System (C:) > Program Files (x86) > domotz > lib > portable-git > bin.
2. The directory contains two application files: "domotz_bash" and "sh."
3. Both files have a size of 44 KB and were last modified on 12/23/2020 at 2:43 AM.
Use this directory to access or execute the application files needed for domotz-related tasks.
2) Go to the folder /c/Program Files (x86)/domotz/lib/node_modules/domotz-remote-pawn-ng/openvpn
and run the command bash domotzvpn_win.sh force-reconf
Running a Bash Script in a Windows Environment
1. Open a terminal window such as MINGW64 on your Windows machine.
2. Navigate to the specified directory by entering:
`cd /c/Program\ Files\ \(x86\)/domotz/lib/node_modules/domotz-remote-pawn/openvpn/`.
This moves you to the 'openvpn' directory within the 'domotz-remote-pawn' module.
3. Execute the script by typing:
`bash domotzvpn_win.sh force-reconf`.
This command runs the 'domotzvpn_win.sh' script with the 'force-reconf' argument to reconfigure the settings.
3) Re-enable the Windows service ‘Routing and Remote Access (RemoteAccess)’, it can’t be Disabled. Once enabled and set to Manual the VPN on Demand will start to work again (open the services.msc panel):
Change the startup type for Routing and Remote Access.
1. Open the Services window and locate "Routing and Remote Access" in the list.
2. Right-click on "Routing and Remote Access" and select "Properties."
3. In the Properties window, find the "Startup type" dropdown menu.
4. Change the "Startup type" to "Manual" from the dropdown.
5. Click "Apply" to save the changes, then "OK" to close the window.
6. Ensure the "Service status" is set to "Running." If not, click "Start."

# sh $SNAP/lib/node_modules/domotz-remote-pawn/openvpn/domotzvpn.sh force-reconf
